The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the list of players for the WPL 2024 auction. It's going to be in Mumbai on December 9, 2023.

There will be a total of 165 players available in the WPL 2024 auction. Each team has 13.5 crore rupees to pick their players. There are 61 international players, including 15 from smaller cricketing nations, and 104 Indian players. Among them, 56 have played for their countries, while 109 are new talents.

Women's Premier League 2024 Auction: Teams Compete for Players

The five teams – Mumbai, Delhi, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Giants, and UP Warriorz – have kept 21 international players on their teams before the auction. They've also released 29 players.

In the auction, there are 30 slots to fill, including nine for international players. The most expensive player starts at 50 lakh rupees. Only two players have chosen this high price: Kim Gart from Australia and Deandra Dottin from the West Indies.

Additionally, four players have a starting bid of 40 lakh rupees. These five teams have selected 60 players, including 21 international stars, and they've released 39 players.

Women's Premier League 2024 Auction Teams' Budget

In terms of the money they can spend, the Gujarat Giants are leading with 5.95 crore rupees. They have ten slots to fill, so they have the most flexibility.

Other teams also have a good amount to spend: Delhi Capitals (2.25 crore rupees), UP Warriorz (4 crore rupees), and Royal Challengers Bangalore (3.35 crore rupees). These teams can pick three, seven, and five players, respectively.

However, the Mumbai Indians, who were the champions last year, have the least amount to spend with 2.1 crore rupees for five slots.
